Bulb Region Cycle Route: Flowers and Space Travel.

This route is offered to you by Space Expo Noordwijk and De Tulperij Voorhout . This cycle route is a discovery tour through the Bulb Region. This will take you past the Space Expo space museum, a voyage of discovery in itself! The exhibition provides a fun introduction to space travel in all its facets. For example, you see how an astronaut eats, sleeps and lives. One of the showpieces of the museum is the original Soyuz capsule with which André Kuipers traveled. Then you continue cycling through the charming villages, along water and various flower fields in this beautiful region. You can stop at De Tulperij for a guided tour. Here you will hear why the Bulb Region is called the Bulb Region. Here you will learn about the growth process from bulb to flower or from tuber to flower. A colorful experience in summer and late summer with a dahlia show garden with more than 600 varieties of dahlias. A dahlia picking garden and a terrace with a view of all those flowers. In the spring you can enjoy the tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. You can enjoy a cup of coffee with freshly baked apple pie or monchou inside the greenhouse or enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace later in the day...
