E-bike route around Amersfoort and Hollandsche Rading

You start this route at the TOP on the edge of Spakenburg. First you cycle to Amersfoort. Here you cycle through Park Schothorst. Forty years ago this was largely an agricultural area, now you cycle through a beautiful park forest. Further on you cycle past the Koppelpoort, the beautiful city gate from 1425. Between Amersfoort and Bilthoven you will find several contiguous forests that lie on the foothills of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. An ideal area to switch back and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. From junction 92 the landscape changes dramatically: here you cycle through the vast Utrecht peat area. At Restaurant De Egelshoek you can enjoy a delicious meal, after which you cycle back into the forests. Finally you cycle through the beautiful Eem valley around Eembrugge.
