Description
The route starts on the Grote Markt in Bergen op Zoom. First you go through the city center along the many national monuments that the city is rich in. You then leave the city center and go around the indoor area where a complete new-build neighborhood was built in the 1990s with reclaimed land. So you actually drive on water here. On the boulevard we also find our first stop at Timo\\\'s Foodbar. You can enjoy delicious food and drinks here, but especially get delicious ice cream!!
After this stop we continue via the Bergse Plaat, we drive straight into nature and we arrive at a stopover: the Kraaijenberg. A beautiful nature reserve again many birds rest. There is also a watchtower here and it is definitely worth a visit with the surrounding buildings.
After the Kraaijenberg we drive on to the Mattemburgh estate. Here you can make a 2nd stop and possibly have something to eat and drink. This is a very nice location to completely relax.
Then we drive through the woods and don't forget to enjoy this beautiful environment. After a few KM we arrive at stay okay. Here you can relax and order a drink. there is also a watchtower here. You can also enter the climbing forest here if the weather and the season permit. This does cost extra money. You climb to a height of up to 15 meters in the forest and go from one tree to another.
After this we drive through the forest past the municipal cemetery. We cross the highway and drive to the Canadian cemetery from the second world war. Very impressive and pause for a moment.
When you get back on, we drive back a bit and follow the peat route (yellow cycle path) for a part to end up at Brasserie de Berk. A beautiful nature reserve and here you can also opt for a snack or drink.
Now we continue along the edge of Bergen op zoom and enter Halsteren. We stop at Fort de Roovere. You can climb the immensely high watchtower here and enjoy the best view of this entire route. You can also have a drink here and possibly order a small snack at the"chaft shack\\\"
We return to the center of Bergen op Zoom. We go behind Halsteren and through the residential area Tuinwijk. You can find a few beautiful parts of Bergen op Zoom here. Not much later you arrive at the main market again and you have covered more than 33KM.
Always watch out for another way. users, anticipate in time and avoid curbs, large bumps and loose stones lying on the road.
