The picnic areas were designed by Joke de Witte. The idea behind it is a tourist who is a stranger in this environment. So are the coastal picnic spots, strangers in their environment. Strangers experience the landscape differently than residents. They share that experience with the residents and so the circle is complete.
This route takes you past all 8 Ku(n)st picnic spots on Walcheren: the Bedroom, the Pink Cloud, the Cows, the Jungle, the Sailboat, the Eggs, the Church Tower and the Wavy Bank.
