In 2015 it will be exactly 125 years since Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) died. The Land of Heusden and Altena embraces the motto:'Altena through the eyes of Van Gogh.\\\' Here you will still find the views that so inspired Van Gogh. We make his love for nature visible by planting thousands of sunflowers and make it enjoyable by offering various activities, put together by schools, private individuals, communities, associations and companies, among others.
