Walk Herikerberg and along the Regge

Put on your sturdy walking shoes for a varied route between Goor and Markelo. First you walk through the woods on the Herikerberg, a moraine whose highest point is over 46 meters. After a while the horizon opens as you walk between the trees out of a landscape of fields, meadows and small wooded areas. You walk to the Regge on a car-free road. You follow the course of this river, enjoying the silence and the beautiful landscape. Where the Regge is led under the Twente Canal via a conductor, you can walk along the canal and past fields and meadows. Here and there you see a characteristic Saxon farm. The route ends at Landhuishotel and Bistro Herikerberg.
