Description

In the Biesbosch National Park you can take a bike ride through the watery and unspoilt nature. You start near the Steurgat. You will pass De Steur Marina and Fort Steurgat: the southernmost fort of the New Dutch Waterline. This fort was built in 1881 and served to close the Nieuwe Merwede and the Steurgat. Just past junction 4 you pass the Wassende Maan. Climb the hill to discover this work of art. You then wind along small roads straight through the Biesbosch National Park, a fun way to explore this unique freshwater area. Get off at Snackpoint Lené in Nieuwendijk before cycling back to your starting point! You can easily pedal back through the polder to the Steurgat.
