Tour of Sevenum and Maasbree

It is wonderfully peaceful to cycle through nature around Sevenum in Limburg. First you drive through the Heesbeemden, a damp forest area. Further on is Reulsberg where the soil is dry, so you mainly see conifers here. At Venlo Greenpark you can see the Innovatoren. This 70 meter high office colossus formed the entrance to the Floriade in 2012. On the west side of Boekend you drive over some former river dunes. Here you will find a mosaic of dry and wet forests. In Maasbree you will pass the Sint-Aldegondiskerk. As with many other churches in this region, the tower of this church was also blown up by the Germans at the end of 1944.
