Tour Chaamse Bossen and Ossengoor

Your route starts with a cup of coffee at De Steengroeve. You are here on the edge of the Chaamse Bossen, so you immediately walk into nature. The sand drifts, wet heathland and fens here are planted with Scots pine. In the middle of the woods you walk right through the beautiful fen of the Ossengoor. Goor means swampy, this has always been a humid area. For a while it was used as a pasture, but now it has been under water for several years. Lost plant species return, changing the vegetation of the area. There are also other animals: waterfowl, dragonflies and damselflies feel at home here in the shallow water. You walk straight through the woods back to your starting point.
