Experience the Natura 2000 areas in Roerdalen with the Gelukexpres. In the months July to September. Where: boarding points: Brasserie de Boshut Meinweg 2 6075 Herkenbosch.Oetsjpanning"De Meuleberg\\\" Waterschei 71 at 6074 .. Melick and Landal Greenparks Aerwinkel, Zwembadweg 1 .. Posterholt We take you to the most beautiful pieces of nature in Roerdalen. 3 nature reserves with the qualification National Park and Natura 2000 area. The highest protection status we have in our country. NP de Meinweg is known for its terraced landscape with, among others, the viper, wild boars and deer, as a living habitat and many (number///) species of birds including the nightjar and the raven. A regional beer is brewed from the gale shrub.
The Rur Valley is known for its very fast flowing river with a summer discharge of m3/second and at high tide in winter up to 125 m3/second.
The Vlootbeek Valley is known as the habitat of the dark burnet blue, which lives in symbiosis with the red ant and the burnet.
The costs are €5.50 pp. Children <4 years free.
Participants buy a Lucky Coin at the mentioned boarding points, which is handed in to the driver of Gelukexpres.
