Haaksbergerveen walk

Just below Buurse and Haaksbergen is the Haaksbergerveen. A unique nature reserve that is best explored on foot. Wear sturdy walking shoes, because the mostly unpaved paths can be damp. Moreover, vipers live in this nature reserve. The first meters you walk along meadows and fields. It is wonderfully quiet here, so that you can immediately switch back to the real holiday feeling. At junction Z66 you enter Haaksbergerveen, one of the most beautiful raised moor areas in the Netherlands. From the paths you have a beautiful view of wide moors, swampy raised moors and rugged grasslands. Every now and then you walk through a forest plot, after which your horizon broadens again when you step out between the trees. Along the Zoddebeek you walk back to Farm Camping De Beek.
