The Spoorhuis Uithoorn The Cycle Route

From Uithoorn you can drive straight into the polder. This route takes you along both banks of the Kromme Mijdrecht: a reasonably well-preserved peat catchment area. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful regions in the Netherlands. You can enjoy typical Dutch views here. You see boats bobbing on the rippling water, neatly arranged meadows with cows, willows, reed collars, mills and old farms. What more could you wish for as a cyclist? You also drive through De Hoef and Woerdense Verlaat, a hamlet that is built around a lock that originally dates from the fifteenth century. The last kilometers you drive along the Amstelkade and the Zijdelmeer, a park on the edge of Uithoorn. After getting off, enjoy a delicious meal at Het Spoorhuis Uithoorn.
