Description
The Kagerplassen area is a beautiful place to cycle. In this landscape with its vast meadows, waterways and high skies you will find plenty of peace. Of course you will pass a number of mills, such as the Boterhuismolen from 1744 and the Broekdijkmolen from 1862. Further on you will cycle through the protected village of Warmond. You will pass Park Groot Leerust and the park that belongs to Huys te Warmont. Over the dike along the Ringvaart you will cycle to Roelofarendsveen. This is the tulip centre of the Netherlands: a quarter of all Dutch tulips come from here. You will cycle along the banks of the Braassemermeer for a while, further on you will cycle along the water of the Wijde Aa. Restaurant RYP is the end point of your route. Time for a nice snack and drink on the cosy terrace by the water.
