Tour of Noordwijk aan Zee, Kagerplassen and Leiden

Dunes, the Kagerplassen and Leiden: with this route you will experience a varied day on the bike. You start in Noordwijk aan Zee. If the weather is nice, you can take a dip before driving into the wooded dunes. You will see many colorful bulb fields around Noordwijkerhout. Cycling along the Ringvaart you look out over the Kagerplassen and the vast polders. In Rijpwetering it is time for a break at Restaurant RYP, after which you drive through Oud Ade with its beautiful Sint-Bavo Church from 1868. In the Boterhuispolder you will experience a refreshing rest, after which you cycle along the canals and many monumental buildings in Leiden. There is also a lot of cultural history to discover in Noordwijk: the old center enjoys a protected village view. Here you will see, among other things, the Oude Jeroenskerk from the fifteenth century.
