The beautiful bike ride takes you to the Holtingerveld nature reserve. A beautiful primeval landscape molded by ice and war. People have been roaming the heath here for thousands of years. First to look for food, later to graze livestock. Nowadays the shepherds go out onto the heath with their flocks of sheep. A great spectacle. The remains of the airport that was built by the German occupiers during the Second World War can still be seen here. And of course a visit to the Havelter dolmens should not be missed.
