Tour of Markelo and Achterhoek

With this route you drive for a few hours through the rural surroundings of Markelo and Laren. Furthermore, there are no villages or towns on your route: it will be a wonderfully quiet day! First you cycle through the Achterhoek. Here you can enjoy a varied landscape of fields, winding streams, vast meadows and small forests. Occasionally you drive past such a typical beautiful Saxon farm. In Markelo you can admire the Martinuskerk from 1840, among other things. Get off at Grand Cafe De Kroon for a snack and drink before you continue cycling. You pass through the picturesque hamlet of Stokkum, further on you drive along the Schipbeek and the Twente Canal. In Laren you can still take a look at the water management church from 1835.
