If you like birds, this is an ideal trip. If you like the beach or ice cream, too, because you will also find them on this route! From the beach of Meerwijck you cycle to the Kropswolder Buitenpolder. On the edge of the polder is a bird hide (also suitable for wheelchairs). You can spot special birds with your binoculars such as the white-cheeked tern, black-eared grebes and even sea eagles. They also call a sea eagle a flying door, so you can imagine how big it is!
This polder changes into the Westerbroeksemadepolder, where the bird hide De Kiekhorn is located. You can only get there on foot. From the Kiekhorn you have a beautiful view of waterfowl, waders and meadow birds. The great egret, the yellow wagtail and the hen harrier can also be spotted here. You also have large grazers in these polders, Scottish highlanders and Konik horses. You cycle back the same way. Time for an ice cream at the Vifero pavilion!
Tip: a nice walking route with your binoculars is the yellow pole route at Ae\\\'s Woudbloem. That area is part of't Roegwold. The path is nice'roeg\\\', no paved paths but straight through the grass. You can start in Woudbloem or at the parking lot on the Hooilandsweg.
