Round Markelo and Rijssen

The first kilometers you ride your legs while you drive through the beautiful Reggedal. For centuries, Enter was a village of clog makers. As a reminder of this period, the largest clog in the world, made from a single piece of wood, stands on the Brink. On the Brink you will also see a number of historic farms, museums and a beautiful church from 1709. You drive through the famous Twente bocage landscape to Markelo. At Grand Cafe De Kroon you can grab a cozy terrace before you drive to nature reserve De Borkeld. Here you will find a mosaic of young forests, fields and grasslands. Finally, you drive past the Oosterhof. This manor originally dates from the fourteenth century, but acquired its current appearance in the eighteenth century.
