a) to Lemmer dir. junction 51 or b) to Rijs dir. junction 46
Lemmer: The beach, the rich history, the (heated) terraces of the'Vlecke\\\' (village with an urban character) Lemmer are ingredients for a day of relaxation in Waterland van Friesland. A guide from the tourist office will tell you about fishing, trade and shipping. Walk around the Dok, or the streets around the water in the center. From Lemmer beach you can take a dip in the IJsselmeer.
A'must see\\\' is UNESCO World Heritage Ir. DF the Woudagemaal, the largest functioning steam pumping station in the world! Or sit down on the bench next to the Lemster lock and enjoy all the boats that sail through the lock into Lemmer or in the opposite direction for the open water. The two characteristic buildings on the lock head are definitely worth a visit. Also discover the tile wisdom placed on the buildings.
