Tour Voerstreek and Eijsden from Slenaken

Your route starts in Slenaken. You soon drive into the lovely Voer region, a collection of villages between the beautiful green hills.'s-Gravenvoer, for example, has developed as a ribbon village along the Voer river, with numerous footbridges over the water to the houses. The church, the parsonage and several farms date from the 18th century - a very prosperous time for this village. You drive through the equally beautiful Eijsden and get off in Gronsveld at De Kwizzenjèr. On the outskirts of Maastricht you will pass the Gronsveld: one of the five remaining tower mills in the Netherlands. This unique attraction dates from 1623. You cycle further via the lovely Sint Geertruid en Mheer - past Libeek Castle, the oldest parts of which date from the thirteenth century.
