Description
Beautiful bike ride for a sunny day. Nice crossings by ferry. First from Maassluis to Rozenburg and then another crossing at Brielle. Nice place to have lunch there. It is useful to check in advance whether the ferry is in service at Brielle. We had to cycle around and take the bridge, which ultimately brings the length of the tour to about 75 km in total.
Beach break!
Furthermore, it is worth leaving early and enjoying some time in the afternoon to 'lounge' on the beach at Rockanje, where somewhere near point 13, turn right to the signs 'beach' \'follow.
Tip: check wind force. It is a flat route with little shelter, so with winds higher than force 2, expect quite a bit of (head)wind as a slowing and tiring factor.
