Description
You know the slogan'Milk, the white engine\\\'. Milk production plays an important role in this route and takes you through all elements of milk production. You cycle past farmlands with grazing cows, beautiful farms and both historic and contemporary dairy factories. More information at the tourist office.
For a trip to Joure (Knpt 69 ), follow the junctions.
The starting and ending point is the old fishing village of Lemmer with a pleasant water sports center, many old facades and unique lock keepers' houses.
During this tour you will cycle through several small, charming villages. You will also see several bell towers along the route.
In Scharsterbrug you cycle past a working dairy factory. Also characteristic workers' houses and a church from the early 20th century. Later in Delfstrahuizen there is a former dairy factory that has been converted into a hotel and restaurant. In the landscape you will see one farm after another. Two of those farms are worth a visit! Take a break at the Heidepleats wine and cheese farm in Huisterterheide or go cuddling cows, fierljepping, farmer's golf or pitchfork darts at Boerderijrecreatie in Delfstrahuizen . The Heideplaets vineyard covers almost 2 hectares and contains approximately 5,500 grape vines.

Without Joure? Then go from Knpt 83 to Knpt 81 and 90 to 84 .
Joure is known as the Frisian town where Egbert Douwes started a shop selling colonial goods such as coffee in 1753. The rest is history... Just before Knpt 69 you cycle along the Midstraat. If you continue to follow this, you will pass through the heart of Joure (and past the DE shop at number 97).
