Description
Still in Lemmer you cycle (almost) past the Ir DF Woudagemaal. The largest steam pumping station in the world is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. There is a visitor center. Occasionally the pumping station is still put into operation when the water is high.
Continue towards Nijemirdum (Knpt 24 ) . The Zwaantje mill (a stone ground sailor) is located just outside the village. The polder mill was built in 1893, but possibly as early as 1878. There are still traces of an earlier mill from 1790, which was destroyed by fire. In 1956 the mill (national monument) lost its function. When the mill is running it can be visited.
Take a look at the air guard watchtower at Huningspaed in Oudemirdum (Knpt 22 ) . The top of the tower rises approximately 25m above the NAP and this is said to be the most beautiful viewpoint in Friesland (can be viewed by appointment).
Then you cycle through Rijs to Knpt 17 .
! On the way to Knpt 35 , stay on the Lijse Leane and cross the N359 straight towards Westerein Harich. On T-spl you go LEFT towards Knpt 35.

Of course, a visit to Sloten cannot be missed!
At Spannenburg (Knpt 43 ) , on the Prinses Margriet Canal, there is the tallest structure in Friesland, the Tower of Spannenbrug (telecommunications).
Then via Follega (Knpt 52 ) back to Lemmer.
