Description
You cycle on the dike through Durgerdam, further along the top of the sea dike with beautiful views, both land and sea side, to the beautiful town of Monnickendam, further via Overleek, where in the tea garden, while enjoying a good lunch, in peace can be enjoyed the view over the polder landscape. Continue through the farmlands to Ilpendam. There you can cross with the ferry to the Twiske eo
Due to the expected less favorable weather conditions, we have chosen to drive back home via Watergang.
The quality of the cycle paths and polder roads is good. The road surface in Durgerdam is in a less good condition.
Along the seawall are rest areas with benches and tables. Which are sometimes busy. Of course you can also place on the seawall itself, to enjoy all the beauty.
Incidentally, there is also a tea garden in Uitdam.
Monnickendam has beautiful locations for lunch, dinner, a drink, shopping and, for those who love it, also beautiful monuments.
