Tip 1: Historic center of Oud-Beijerland
Oud-Beijerland is located on the Spui. The village has an attractive marina, cozy restaurants and a versatile range of shops. The inhabitants like to describe the village as: A village with urban allure. The history of this place is linked to the reclamation in the 16th century by Count Lamoraal van Egmont. The name Beijerland comes from the count's wife, Sabina van Beieren. The rich history can be seen in the stately mansions along the harbor.
Tip 2: Museum Hoeksche Waard
Two capital national monuments located next to each other form an atmospheric historical complex. The Oost-Leeuwenstein farmhouse and the stately Hof van Assendelft have been renovated and refurbished in recent years and together form the Museum Hoeksche Waard. In the museum you will meet the craftswoman, gentleman farmer, village doctor, craftsman, shopkeeper, farm worker and schoolchild and see how they used to live and work.

Tip 3: Visitor center Klein Profijt
Klein Profijt is one of the two visitor centers of the Hoekschewaards Landschap association. The visitor center, located in a former salmon fishery, houses permanent and changing exhibitions related to the flora and fauna of the Hoeksche Waard. You will find a documentation centre, shop and the tourist office. The visitor center has a cozy restaurant with an outdoor terrace, beautifully situated on the river Oude Maas. And in cold weather you can enjoy your drink by the warmth of the fireplace.

Height Profile
Tourist Interchange Points (TOP 's) are the perfect places to start a bike ride or a walk. In these places you can park your car for free on the edge of beautiful areas. From here you can enjoy cycling and walking via the nodes. The TOP 's are easy to find by following the signs along the roads. You can recognize the TOP by a green steel culm of 5.5 meters high.
