Walk Sleen

Your route starts at Eetcafe De Holtenploeg. After a cup of coffee, put on your walking shoes. This walk lets you fully enjoy what makes Drenthe so beautiful: nature and culture. First, you walk through the countryside of Sleen. You walk along grasslands and a small forest plot. Further on, the route takes you along a stream: the Oosterstroom. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for a nice rest. In Sleen, you walk past the De Hoop corn mill from 1914. Be sure to walk around the Brink to experience the historical atmosphere. You will see the impressive monumental town hall from 1938. The church dates from the fifteenth century. In the hamlet of Diphoorn, you can also take a look at Dorpstuin Diphoorn, at Diphoorn 21.
