<p>Welcome to beautiful South Limburg. The Auto Mergellandroute is one of the most famous Autoroutes in the Netherlands. And not for nothing, of course. The route leads right through the <a href=\\\"https://www.visitzuidlimburg.nl/ontdek/heuvels-dalen/rivieren-beken-en-tarieven/?utm_source=routeyourivieren-routepagina&utm_campaign=Thema-Rivieren&utm_medium= link&utm_content=\\\" rel=\\\"nofollow\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">South Limburg 5-star landscape</a>. You pass the Drielandenpunt in Vaals, see the unique <a href=\\\"https://www.visitzuidlimburg.nl/te-doen-in-zuid-limburg/mergel-grotten/?utm_source=routeyoukrijt-mergel -kalk-routepage&utm_campaign=Theme-Krijt&utm_medium=link&utm_content=\\\" rel=\\\"nofollow\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">chalk</a>walls and passes through several real South Limburg villages such as Epen, Slenaken and Eijsden. Maastricht is of course also visited. You will be amazed by the beautiful nature, the attractions, the beautiful views and of course the many terraces to take a break. The official start is at Maastricht station, but the route is best picked up in Sint Geertruid or Wittem. Hooking up somewhere else is of course no problem either. The route is signposted with special hexagonal brown Mergellandroute signs. Where possible, it will avoid the busiest roads. The route is a very popular and often driven route through the Limburg hills. The length is approximately 110 kilometers by car. In addition, Visit Zuid-Limburg also has a <a href=\\\"https://webshop.visitzuidlimburg.nl/autoroute-mergellandroute.html\\\" rel=\\\"nofollow\\\" target =\\\"_blank\\\">special map</a> available with the route and various highlights in the area. If you have any comments about the route, please report them to routepunt@visitzuidlimburg.nl.
