Tour of Mander Circles from Mander

Your walk starts at Group Accommodation De Schure & Group Accommodation Het Landhoes. Just north of Mander you will soon pass the largest landscape art project in the Netherlands: the Mander Circles. These two special fields were created in the 1930s by textile manufacturer Jannink and are therefore also called the Circles of Jannink. According to Jannink, farmers could work a round plot better because they did not have to turn their machine. Instead of crops you will now find a unique art project. From the air, the circles form a beacon: that is why pilots also call them 'Jannink's Bra'. You walk back through the Mosbeek Valley, an idyllic nature reserve where you can enjoy beautiful walks along high ash trees.
