Around Heythuysen

This route takes you through the region around Heythuysen in Central Limburg. You will soon pass the Grathemermolen, a thirteenth-century water mill. A bit further you can take a look at the old Saint Severinus church. In the countryside it is wonderfully relaxed cycling along meadows, fields and small parcels of forest. How wonderfully quiet it is in this region! You drive through the cozy Heythuysen, after which you explore the Leudal. Coniferous and deciduous trees alternate here, you also drive along heather fields. On the Leubeek is the Leumolen, a beautiful building from 1773. In Horn you pass a real ring castle and two nineteenth-century flour mills. Finally, you drive through the coniferous forests of the Beegderheide and along the banks of the Lange Vlieter. The route ends at Resort Boschmolenplas.
