Culture and nature tour from Assen

Nature and culture are inextricably linked in Drenthe. This route leads along a varied landscape of forests, agricultural areas and the special stream valley landscape. During this route you cannot ignore the cultural heritage, such as the villages with medieval village greens that you cycle through. The route starts and ends in Assen. There are a number of special places that you should definitely see: you can step back in time at a dolmen, become silent in the woods near the former Westerbork camp and look into space at the radio observatory.
