A tour through the South Limburg hills

This route takes you through the rolling South Limburg countryside. This will be a day of enjoying panoramas, old villages and Limburg delicacies.

Half-timbered houses
In Epen you immediately see what makes South Limburg and this route so beautiful: monumental half-timbered houses and square farms. You also cycle through the lovely stream valley of the Geul. Time seems to have stood still here. On the outskirts of Vijlen you will make a stopover at Hotel Vijlerhof. On the cozy terrace you can enjoy something tasty and a beautiful panorama.

Church Hill
In Holset you can see the old HH Lambertus and Genoveva Church on the church hill. You drive through the village of Sippenaeken, which is located near the Geul. Here you can admire half-timbered houses and the St. Lambertus Church from 1840. In the hamlet of Plaat you pass the Eperhuis, a beautiful eighteenth-century farm.
