With a bit of bad luck we have the wind directly against Neeltje Jans today. We enter Walcheren to follow the entire west coast from here, via Vrouwenpolder to Oostkapelle, Domburg and Westkapelle. At Zoutelande we leave the coast straight through Middelburg. We continue our way through typical Zeeland landscape towards Heinkenszand, the birthplace of Jan Raas. Here we take the race hat off to's best classic rider ever. Raas won the Amstel Gold Race 5 times and 10 Tour stages, among other things, he also wore the yellow jersey. We continue towards Schore, the birthplace of that other big Zeeuw; Jo de Roo, who won three tour stages in the mid-1960s. On the way, after 120 kilometers we find the Hogerwaardpolderweg, a piece of cobblestones of 2.1 km. The finish is in Bergen op Zoom, the birthplace of Adrie van de Poel, who won two stages in the Tour and also wore the yellow jersey.
