Description
The Lutterzand is located at the foot of an ice age moraine. The winding river De Dinkel flows through the nature reserve, which has carved a channel in the sand.
The nature and the rolling landscape are varied with pine trees, deciduous trees, juniper berries, sand drifts and heathlands. It is also heaven on earth for many birds and the bank of the Dinkel is the domain of the sand martin and the kingfisher.
Get off your bike at Lutterzand and enjoy the sandy plain. Admire the Dinkel who impressively finds her own way through the area. In some places the walls of the banks are up to seven meters high.
