Description
The cycling tour Rondje Buren goes through the Betuwe landscape around Buren. This beautiful Oranjestad literally has a royal history; in this ancient town, William of Orange married Anna van Egmond in 1551. As a result, today King Willem-Alexander and Princess Beatrix are also Count and Countess van Buren. So there is a special bond between the royal family and this picturesque town.
The route starts and ends at TOP De Pannenkoekenbakker Buren.
The route takes you through the Betuwe landscape with fragrant blossom in the spring and colorful fruit in the summer, past Tiel. Stop off in the town of Flipje and settle down on one of the terraces or visit the Flipje and Regional Museum Tiel.
Via the Linge you continue your route along Geldermalsen. Along the way you pass picturesque villages and beautiful natural beauty.
