Tour of the Voer region

This route takes you from the woods near Vaals to the Belgian Voer region. First you make a climb to the Drielandenpunt. This was once a Vierlandenpunt: the pavement that belonged to Neutral-Moresnet can still be seen in the pie on the hill. The mini-state was located between 1816 and 1920 in the Preusbos, which you cycle through around junction 5. It is unbelievably quiet here. You pass through Moresnet-Chapelle, a place of pilgrimage. Further on you cycle past Plombières on Ravel 38, one of the oldest ravels in Belgium. Around Terhaegen and Terbruggen you drive through the Geul valley, after which you make a climb towards the Dutch border. The higher you go, the better the views. At Lodge it's time for a snack and a drink!
