Tour of the Voerstreek

This route takes you from the woods near Vaals to the Belgian Voer region. First you make a climb to the Drielandenpunt. This was once a Four Country Point: in the cake slice on the hill you can still see the paving that belonged to Neutral-Moresnet. The mini-state was located between 1816 and 1920 in the Preusbos, which you cycle through around junction 5. It is unprecedentedly quiet here. You pass through Moresnet-Chapelle, a place of pilgrimage. Further on you cycle past Plombières on Ravel 38, one of the oldest ravels in Belgium. Around Terhaegen and Terbruggen you drive through the Geul Valley, after which you climb towards the Dutch border. The higher you go, the more beautiful the views.
