Round Vijlenerbos

Put on your walking shoes for a route through the Vijlenerbos, a vast nature reserve in South Limburg. This is one of the most elongated nature reserves in the Netherlands: it stretches over a length of 8 kilometers from Epen to Vaals. The Vijlener forest therefore consists of a number of sub-areas. First you walk through the Malensbos. You will mainly see deciduous trees here, such as oaks and beeches. It is wonderfully quiet on the paths here. After you have crossed the Epenerbaan, you will successively pass through the Kerperbos and the Holsetterbos. Here too you mainly walk between the deciduous trees. Moreover, you have a number of beautiful vistas over the hills and the village of Holset.
