A varied route with history, nature and surprising elements.
Noordgouwen is a protected village view. It is a ring village and has a characteristic old village center that does not yet have any tourism. Very nice to walk on'de Ring\\\' around the church. The church is surrounded by a moat and the facades of the houses are more than worth seeing! You will also come across a number of national monuments. Outside Noordgouwe you cross a road to walk a bit along the slightly busier Heereweg. Here, at the beginning, are the De Pottere manor houses, where a castle probably once stood. Opposite is the Conyershofje. The old hospital is located on the corner of Heereweg and Donkereweg. Halfway along the Heereweg, turn right at a large fen onto a nice path between the farmlands. A little further awaits a surprising turn. Further on at point 53 there is a picnic table, after which you are almost back in Noordgouwe. Nice to finally buy your own bouquet of flowers in the picking garden!
NB! This route cannot be traveled with a wheelchair. A stroller can possibly be lifted over a gate that has to be taken 2 times.
