Tour of Kasteelse Bossen and Melderslo

Put on your sturdy shoes for a nice walk through the Kasteelse Bossen and through the church village of Melderslo. You don't have to walk far for your first sight: the ruins of Castle Ter Horst. This castle was built in the early fourteenth century. The stately avenues remind you of the time when this beautiful area was still an estate. There are still many oaks, beeches and Scots pines that were planted around 1800. In Melderslo you will pass Museum de Locht. Here you will learn more about asparagus cultivation and rural life from 1850-1950 in this region. You dive back into the Kasteelse Bossen, where you walk along the ponds. Back at Graaf Ter Horst it's time for something delicious!
