Walk Landtong Rozenburg

Rozenburg used to be one of the South Holland Islands. Due to the expansion of the port of Rotterdam, the island has largely been excavated over time. This meant, among other things, that the De Hoop flour mill from 1658 had to be moved. It has been in its current location since 1887. You continue walking along the edge of the village. You see many ships passing by on the water. Further on you walk onto Landtong Rozenburg. This nature reserve is wedged between the Nieuwe Waterweg and the Calandkanaal. You will see rising shrubs, open ponds, grass plains and herbal thickets. The nature reserve is incredibly rich in insects and birds. Many flower and plant species also grow here, so you can admire many butterflies here. You walk back to Hotel Rozenburg along the south side of Rozenburg.
