Tour Echtenerzand

From Hoeve Sonneclaer you can take a cycling tour full of variety. You experience the rich nature and culture of Drenthe. First you pass through Echten, where you can see some historic farms and a former manor. Further on you drive along the Hoogeveensche Vaart. The Panjerd-Veeningen is also located here: a newly developed nature reserve that also serves as a water storage facility. In times of heavy and extreme precipitation, as much as 800,000 m3 of water can be 'parked' here. Around Koekange you drive through a landscape that is typically divided into strips. On Dorpsstraat you will see several monumental farms in Art Nouveau style. The last part of the route you cycle through the fragrant forests of Echtenerzand.
