Walking through the polders near Barendrecht

Between Barendrecht and the Oude Maas you can take a beautiful loop walk through the Zuidpolder Landscape Park. A few years ago, a beautiful city park was created in this former agricultural area around a historic watercourse. You can relax here while enjoying the special city nature. You can still see some old farms on the Noldijk. Halfway through the route you can make a pit stop at Polderzicht Tea & More, after which you walk back to the Oude Maas. From the footpath you have a beautiful view of the rippling water. The route leads you further through the park, after which you take a shortcut through Barendrecht. You walk along the Middeldijk, which used to form the northern border of the Zuidpolder. Back at Polderzicht Tea & More you can enjoy a cozy terrace.
