Description
Beautiful varied route by bike or skates. In my case I completed it skating.
On the east side via Oudeschild, first a stretch along the inside of the dike, sometimes literally slaloming through the sheep. Then via the outside of the dike with a view of the Wadden Sea towards De Cocksdorp and the lighthouse at the tip of Texel.
From there you drive via the west side through a wonderfully beautiful vast dune area past De Slufter to De Koog and ultimately through forest area to Den Hoorn and there you complete the circuit back to the ferry.
The surface is great to good, occasionally slightly worse asphalt or tile/clinker paths, but they are laid tightly so they do not really pose a problem when skating.
