Tour of Waarland (green)

The route explores the Boomerwaal nature reserve of Staatsbosbeheer: over the grass quay of the Boomerpolder, with a high'kwakel\\\' (pedestrian bridge) over the Boomervaart and along the banks of this ring canal of the Slootgaardpolder. At the Weelbrug you go to the old Waarland and its Waertmolen from 1571. You walk along the nature zone on the south bank of the canal on the unpaved Waardkade; the northern ring dike of the Heerhugowaard reclaimed land.
