Children's walking route Maastricht

Then grab a terrace on Onze Lieve Vrouweplein - as if you were suddenly in a French town. Not surprising, because you can walk straight into the Jekerkwartier, the Latin Quarter of Maastricht. Stop for pie at the Bisschopsmolen, one
real windmill in the city. Nearby you walk under the Helpoort, a medieval city gate complete with towers.
After a small part of Stadspark and Jeker you dive back into the Jekerkwartier. Hangs here
again such a wonderful atmosphere. Are we still in the Netherlands?
Walk all the way down the street: here you will find the nice Maastricht Natural History Museum, where you can see real mosasaurs. This dinosaur species is not named after Maastricht for nothing: the fossils were found in the ENCI quarry.
You enter the Jekerpark through a gate in the city wall. In the adjacent Aldenhof Park you can walk past the monument of d\\\'Artagnan - the famous musketeer was killed here.
Nearby, in the Waldeck park, you will discover something special: underground casemates. You can visit them from Maastricht Underground. End the day at Tapijn Brasserie, in an old barracks!
