Raaybos route

This route takes you for a detour through the forest behind De Raay Castle. This fragrant coniferous forest was created in the nineteenth century to retain the shifting sand. While you walk among the fresh-smelling conifers, you can chat with your fellow hikers at leisure. There are a number of meadows in the forest. It makes this short route just a bit more varied. Back at the castle you can take a look at the special building. Originally, this former knight heritage dates back to the thirteenth century. The current white-painted house was renovated in the nineteenth century, with a Swiss chalet-style roof. Today Fletcher Hotel Château De Raay is located in the path. In this luxurious four-star hotel you get the feeling of being a lord or lady of the castle.
