The Frije Wiken is a beautiful, undiscovered area in Southeast Friesland. Here you will find the special neighborhood structure: the area is intersected by so-called neighborhoods, ditches and canals that were dug in the past for peat extraction. After the peat was excavated, nature was given the opportunity to slowly but surely recover. Cycle over old cobblestones, sand paths and shell paths and enjoy.
