Round Vijlenerbos, Bocholtz and Holset

Your route starts at Boscafe't Hijgend Hert, high in the Vijlenerbos. From here you walk right along the German border. This typical Limburg square farm from the 15th century is known for its delicious homemade ice cream, but also for its homemade waffles and extensive lunch menu. After an extensive break you have energy again, enough to walk up the Lemierser Berg. You just see here in Germany! You walk back to your starting point via the authentic hamlet of Holset, with the HH Lambertus and Genoveva Church. The many half-timbered houses, chapels, road crosses and square farms are typical of South Limburg. The slope forests (and the views!) here are also very special, don't forget to look around during the climb up.
