City walk Hoorn

From Visserseiland you walk along the Markermeer before walking into the city. At the Veemarkt you will see the sixteenth-century Noorderkerk. You walk through one beautiful street after another to the Grote Kerk from 1883. You can walk out of the city via the beautiful Grote Oost. You walk through the greenery along the Markermeer and get a breath of fresh air while looking out over the water. After a while you will have a beautiful view from the quay of the Schuijteskade, the Gevangeniseiland and the centuries-old Hoofdtoren. The last part of the route takes you through the protected cityscape of Hoorn: enjoy! Hoorn was the most important port city in the area for centuries - after Amsterdam. The route ends at Camperplaats and Jachthaven de Grashaven.
