City walk Hoorn

From the Visserseiland you walk along the Markermeer, before you walk into the city. At the Veemarkt you see the sixteenth-century Noorderkerk. Through one beautiful street after another you walk to the Grote Kerk from 1883. Via the beautiful Grote Oost you walk out of the city for a while. Through the greenery you walk along the Markermeer and you can get a breath of fresh air, while looking out over the water. After a while you have a beautiful view of the Schuijteskade, the Gevangeniseiland and the centuries-old Hoofdtoren from the quay. The last part of the route takes you through the protected cityscape of Hoorn: enjoy! Hoorn was therefore the most important port city in the area for centuries - after Amsterdam. The route ends at Camperplaats and Jachthaven de Grashaven.
