E-bike route Hoorn

This E-bike route introduces you to Hoorn and the West Frisian hinterland. From the Egboetswater nature reserve you drive via Wervershoof to the Weelen. In this water-rich nature reserve you can still see what West Friesland looked like before the land consolidation. The adjacent Streekbos was only created in 1978. You then pass through Bovenkarspel and Hoogkarspel. In the outside area you look out over colorful flower fields. In Hoorn you can enjoy the historic cityscape. On Visserseiland you can buy something tasty for on the terrace or on the road in the shop of Camperplaats and Jachthaven de Grashaven. You then cycle back into the polder, through a wide landscape of grasslands, canals and bulb fields. You will visit a few more charming villages, such as Wognum, Wadway and Spanbroek. West Friesland is so special!
