Tour of the highlights of the Heuvelland

Via Vijlen (with the highest church tower in the Netherlands) you drive past the half-timbered houses in the hamlet of Bommerig to Epen. A real tourist village, just like Slenaken a little further away. Further on you cycle past Groenendaal: a large nineteenth-century farm that was once a castle. Gulpen is known for the striking church tower to which St. Peter's Church was once attached. You can enjoy a nice terrace right on the Gulp, on the Markt. Just before the end of the route you pass the main station of the South Limburg Steam Train Company, with the authentic station restoration of the Miljoenenlijn.
